National Golf Month - Get Golfing In May
National Golf Month is an initiative driven by the British Golf Industry Association (BGIA) and Bauer Media that gives golf clubs an opportunity to promote special offers through the National Golf Month website that will target both lapsed and new golfers.
England Golf are supporting National Golf Month May 2014 through the "Get into Golf" campaign (click here to find out more) and are encouraging all clubs to take part in this exciting project.
Matlock Golf Club has opted in and through the Club Professional are promoting the "Get into Golf" Beginner Group Courses.
The Get into Golf sessions will run over a 4 week duration of 1 hour sessions at a cost of £25, this includes all Range Balls and Equipment Hire.
The courses will start on Wednesday 7th May from 18.00pm - 19.00pm & 19.00pm - 20.00pm and run for 4 consecutive Wednesdays.
The courses are being subsidised by the Derbyshire Golf Partnership.

Medal No 1 - Lombard Trophy Qualifier
On Saturday 26th it is Medal No 1 and we are running the Lombard Trophy Qualifier. This is an optional entry into the qualifier, the member with the lowest Net score of the day (who enter the qualifier) will go on with myself and play the Regional Qualifier at Little Aston Golf Club on Friday 4th July.
Last year Andrew Butler qualified and we had a fantastic day out playing at Little Aston.
Captain's Team v Bakewell
Captain's Team vs Bakewll on Thursday 8th May at Matlock GC - Members Needed for the Match. If you would like to play either ring the Professional Shop or write your name on the sheet on the Captain's Board in the 19th.
Bridgestone Ball Fitting Day
Next week on Wednesday 30th April, I am running a Bridgestone Ball Fitting Day from 12.00 - 14.00pm. Each fitting will last for approx. 15 mins and in that time we will find the perfect Bridgestone Ball to suit your game and swing! On Saturday 10th May - Social Day - I will be running an Odyssey Putter Demo / Fitting Day. This will run throughout the day and give members the opportunity to come and test and try out all the latest putters and be properly fitted for a putter.
